On March 6, 7 and 8, 2024, the 1st International Workshop of our project Agile Business Design for Older Adult Migrants – BUSThink was held in the city of Malaga (Spain).
The event was coordinated by the partner CarpoACE Europe S.L. and was held at the BIC Euronova business incubator in the Andalusian Technology Park (Malaga
TechPark), an organization that welcomed us through its General Director Álvaro Simón De Blas Phd. We also had the guest presentation of Sandra García, in charge of International Projects of the BIC, who presented his Erasmus+ project's Migrants in Business , which is closely related to ours. This international workshop was multipurpose, as we were not only able to exchange good practices, knowledge and train each other, but also helped us to bring the project team together.
CarpoACE Europe S.L., in addition to exercising its role as coordinator of the project and of this particular event, trained the rest of the team in the Agile Business Design – BUSThink methodology, developed that merges the Business Model Canvas, Design Thinking and Kanban methodologies, for the development of business plans through
creative, visual processes and validation and reformulation of ideas.
SOLIS led facilitation workshops, which stood out for their interactive and innovative approach. These sessions focused not only on the transmission of knowledge, but also on fostering an atmosphere of trust and cooperation among participants.
PFE PROJECTS FOR EUROPE offered us valuable lessons on the management and implementation of European projects, passing on the know-how acquired through a great experience in the Erasmus+ Programme.
Collaboratively, we also developed the first version of the Guide for Focus Groups and In-Depth Interviews , as well as the Guide for Trainers" of our project and which will be refined and used in future activities.
This workshop was not only a space for the exchange of technical knowledge, but also an opportunity to collectively reflect on how we can better serve and understand migrant older adults who want to develop a business in the EU, the heart of our project.
The learnings and progress achieved in this workshop in Malaga mark an exciting step forward for all of us. We are deeply grateful to all those who participated and contributed to this meaningful meeting.
